Cünüplük sebebiyle haram olan şeyler, hayız ve nifas sebebiyle de haram olur. Buna göre, hayızlı ve nifaslı kadının namaz kılması, tilavet secdesi yapması, mushafa dokunması, mescide girmesi, tavaf etmesi, Kuran okuması ve oruç tutması haramdır. Böyle bir kadının cinsel ilişki de bulunması da haramdır.
